One person killed in road accident outside Cookstown

It’s understood a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in the collision on the Gortagammon Road at Tullyhogue.

Police say the accident happened between midnight and 1.00am.

They have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.

The accident comes just a week after a young Pomeroy man was left in a critical condition after he was involved in a three vehicle car crash.

The crash happened at around 8.50pm last Saturday on the Annaghill Road near Augher.
