One-two for local college Reflexology Students

SOUTH Eastern Regional College (SERC) Reflexology students Annalee McQuade and Ruth Parkes made it a one-two at the Northern Ireland Reflexology WorldSkills Finals.

The students, who study on a part-time basis at SERC’s Lisburn Campus, were competing in their first skills competition and to make their achievement even greater they were in their first year studying reflexology.

Linda Duffy, Head of School for Hair, Beauty and Skills for Life commented; “I would like to extend my congratulations to Annalee and Ruth and also their tutor Colleen Cairns.

“Whilst they are relatively new to the reflexology industry they have demonstrated a natural talent and I have no doubt they will continue to develop their skills through hard work and dedication. It is a great achievement for SERC to claim the first and second prize, beating off competition from across Northern Ireland.”
