Online survey on £1m base

And it is inviting members of the public to share their views on the project before tomorrow (Friday’s) deadline for the online survey.

Established in 2001, the charity provides inclusive recreational opportunities for families and individuals who are disabled or disadvantaged through circumstance.

Belfast Lough Sailability is in the final stage of application to the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland’s Space and Place Flagship scheme for a grant of up to £1 million that would enable the development of a Maritime Centre at Carrickfergus Marina, close to its current location.

This facility will enable Belfast Lough Sailability to expand its service in Carrickfergus and the wider community in Northern Ireland.

A statement from Belfast Lough Sailability added: “We would value your opinions as to whether you would use such a facility and have an on line survey in order to facilitate this request (http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43211844424953).

“It would be especially helpful if you would share this link with others. The closing date of the on line survey is 19th December 2014.”

Belfast Lough Sailability continues to operate throughout the winter. With the festive season here, the group’s last Saturday training session in 2014 will be this weekend at 10.00am. Training will re-commence for volunteers on 11 January at 10.00am.
