Opening of St Killian's College

HUNDREDS of pupils from across the Larne borough donned their new uniforms this week as St Killian's College opened its doors.

The new school, an amalgamation of St Comgall's, St MacNissi's and St Aloysius colleges came into existence on Monday.

St Killian's is currently operating from two sites - the former St MacNissi's College site at Garron Tower and the former St Comgall's College site in Larne. Pupils from St Aloysius' College in Cushendall have been attending St MacNissi's for this academic year.

School principal, Jonny Brady, described the opening as the start of a new era for education in the Glens and East Antrim area.
