Coleraine Music Festival is back again

Coleraine Music Festival takes place in Coleraine Town Hall from Wednesday, March 15 to Friday, March 24 (Speech and Drama) and from Monday, March 27 to Friday, March 31 (Music).

The Festival committee are delighted to welcome Maeve O’Donoghue as the speech and drama adjudicator.

Maeve is a native of Dublin and is a member of the British and International Federation of Music Festivals. She has Licentiates from both the Leinster School of Music and Drama and from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

She has been running VoiceWorks in Dublin for over 35 years where students are prepared for festival participation and for examinations. Maeve is delighted to have been invited to adjudicate in Coleraine and hopes that participation in the Festival will be a very enjoyable experience for all performers, their teachers and their families.

Helen Deakin is the music adjudicator. Helen Deakin studied piano and clarinet at the Royal Academy of Music and undertook post graduate studies on the clarinet and conducting. She performs as a soloist and as an accompanist with many chamber groups and orchestras and she has worked extensively throughout the UK and around the world.

Helen is an experienced teacher and has run a flourishing private teaching practice for over 25 years. She regularly runs workshops for pianists, piano teachers and instrumental teachers, which have proved very popular. Helen is on the adjudicator panel of the British and International Federation of Festivals and is delighted to have been invited to adjudicate at this year’s Coleraine Music Festival.

Members of the public are welcome to come and encourage the competitors during this very enjoyable fortnight.
