Party planning

MANY women would admit that the best part of going out is the time spent getting ready.

If research is to be believed, we ladies begin the prep much earlier than a few hours before the Christmas do. Statistics show that women spend 13 days getting ready for the Christmas party! A pre-diet starts as early as November to ensure we will be lean, mean party machines for December. Three hundred and twelve hours are spent in all preparing for the party, this includes time spent shopping, hunting down the perfect outfit, a trip to the hairdressers, pampering sessions involving waxing, manicures, pedicures, spray tans and make-up application. On average a women will spend 72 hours looking for the outfit, 96 hours getting in shape, 23 hours beautifying, 48 hours shopping for accessories and many more hours taking advice from friends and leafing through magazines for the perfect look. It all sounds like terribly hard work, but let’s face it girls, we love the preparation even more than the party, proving the old adage true: ‘It’s better to travel hopefully than to arrive.’
