Alliance partyrepresentative thanks voters

Sir, I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported and voted for me during the recent election campaigns for both The Northern Ireland Assembly and Larne Borough Council.

From the many doorsteps I have stood on over the past several weeks and the numerous people I have spoken to, to the overwhelming number of texts, emails, cards, phone calls and flowers I have received, the common theme has only served to re-affirm my belief that what I campaigned for then and will continue to fight for now is for the warm and caring communities who are our best asset, for our area of outstanding natural beauty to be the very best that it can and to be extremely proud of the beautiful country that we live in.

To run for Assembly was an exciting new adventure, especially with the boundary extended as far up as Cushendun, and whilst I was pipped at the post, it has been an amazing experience and something that I will always remember with an extreme sense of pride both for myself, the Alliance Party and for all my Campaign Team, whom without, I could not have done so well.

The election results has brought about much change for Larne Council and whilst I will miss my colleagues who are no longer there, I have every confidence that all the members are committed to working together in true team spirit to move Larne Borough forward to make it the best place for everyone. I will continue, as I have always done, to work hard for the whole community and promise to have an open door to anyone who may need it. In addition, I will endeavor to support Stewart Dickson, Alliance MLA for East Antrim from Carrickfergus to Cushendun.

Once again thank you so much for all your support.
