Appreciation for public support of the 12th

ON behalf of the officers and members of Sprucefield True Blues LOL 1431 could we through your paper make the following comments about the 12th of July parade in Crumlin.

We would like to express our appreciation to the number of spectators who turned out to see the parade in Crumlin despite the inclement weather in the run up to the event and also the concerns of what may happen because of the Parades Commission ruling.

I’m sure every Orange man and bands man on parade noticed and appreciated your support.

We would also like to congratulate Glenavy District for pulling a great demonstration out of the bag despite, at times, it looking like all hope was lost.

Finally we would like to thank each and every member of the public who lined the route from St Pauls Church on the 12th night when we returned to Lisburn all the way down to the Orange Hall in Railway Street.

As I said before every member who was on parade appreciated the support shown by all ages from tiny children to old age pensioners on what was a glorious day weather wise after the floods on the run up to the 12th day.
