Ballymaconnelly says thanks

SIR - The committee and members of Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors Flute Band Rasharkin would like to take this opportunity and thank members of th general public, as well as members of the visiting bands, who all gave generously at their 31st annual band parade in Rasharkin on August 19.

A grand total of £2,305.87 was collected and will go towards the up keep of the band.

A special thank you goes to all the collectors and to the parade marshalls who helped to make the parade such a success.

The band would also like to thank the Manor Hotel, Ballymoney for the use of their premises for the disco after the parade and for their continued support throughout the year.

Also the night of the parade, the band received a card and a special personal donation which the band holds dear.

Finally the band would like to congratulate Gertrude Star Flute Band on winning the Richard Lafferty Memorial Cup award to the best band on the night.
