Band pulls out all the stops

Cairncastle Flute Band recently held their annual fun day and parade in Larne and it turned out to be another successful day.

The officers and members of the band would like to thank all those who came along and joined in with the various activities around the town centre and enjoyed the music supplied by the various groups and bands.

We would also express thanks to Larne Borough Council and the Ulster Scots Agency for their help in organising and supporting the event.

The band would also like to thank all the bands from across Northern Ireland who attended and supported our parade in the evening, thanks to the parade marshalls, thanks to those who judged the different sections and thanks to the Police Service for Northern Ireland for the traffic control.

Our street collection raised £1,198.56 towards the band funds and we are extremely grateful to all those who made a contibution.
