Bravo Fusion Theatre - and the audience!

JUST to follow up on your review of Fusion Theatre’s stage production of ‘The Boys in the Photograph’.

You were so right to heap praise upon the cast, the crew and the direction but what of the audience?

At times it was unsettling to watch, yet we in the audience forgave Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton their naive politics and fully accepted it as a stupendous piece of musical theatre such was the power of the production and the performances.

I’m not so sure even ten years ago we as an audience could have been so mature, yet last week we gave a richly deserved standing ovation.

I for one will never forget the first act, as good as anything I’ve seen in the West End or on Broadway, and the boy girl duet followed by the song’s choral reprise at the funeral was haunting.

Bravo Fusion and bravo people of Lisburn.
