Business plan being drawn up for sports club redevelopment
The council’s Development Committee has agreed to commit £5,000 towards the cost of developing a business plan for the redevelopment of the Academy Sports Club site in Mallusk.
The business plan is required by Mallusk Village Improvement Consortium in its bid to secure £150,000 of funding for the project from the Big Lottery and Biffa.
The plan to develop a ‘village hub’ to accommodate fit-for-purpose leisure and meeting facilities could see a comprehensive redevelopment of the Mallusk Road facility, including major improvements to the interior and exterior of the building.
