A clothes collection in aid of Fr Paddy Hyland’s mission will take place from Killanure and Camross schools on Thursday morning 18th June 2015. All unwanted clothes, footwear and bedding etc., can be left in the play shelters of either schools anytime on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday or on Thursday morning before 9.30a.m. (Be assured that all proceeds from the clothing will go directly to Fr Paddy.)

Coolrain Bog

‘The 2015 AGM of the Coolrain Bog Group will be held in the Hall in Camross on Thursday, June 25th @ 8.30pm.All bog owners and turfcutters on Coolrain Bog are requested to attend this meeting. Should you have any questions or suggestions please contact Pat Cooper on 0869890249.

Late Frank Hogan Cardtown

The death occurred recently of Frank Hogan (London) and formerly of Cardtown, Mountrath, Co. Laois. He was a son of the late Michael and Norah Hogan and emigrated to London many years ago. Frank had enjoyed good health and was in his 93rd year. Pre-deceased by his loving wife, Kathleen. Frank is deeply regretted by his sons and daughters, extended family, relatives and friends. Franks remains were interred in London on Wednesday, June 10. A Memorial Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated in St. Fergal’s Church, Camross, on Sunday, June 21 at 10.30 am.
