Chance to move

I participate in ‘Art on the Rails’ in Castle Street on Saturdays between April and September. This event is a great idea in principle and is in a lovely location.

However, from the aspect of passing pedestrians it is totally useless and should not be at this location.

This activity is sponsored by Lisburn City Council but apart from banners on lamp posts in the area, advertising seems to be poor.

The proposed development of the city centre is an ideal opportunity to incorporate this attraction into plans with a view to accommodating it at a more central location where artists might have half a chance of selling some of their wares. I would respectfully suggest that this be drawn to the council’s attention.
