Changing school would break my son’s heart

MY son Matthew attends Knockmore Primary School and I am writing this with my concerns about the proposed closure of the school and how this would affect my son.

Matthew is in P2 mainstream and also has autism - the work the teachers have done with him is great and he has settled in so well.

Matthew is doing well in school and has made many friends. If the school was to close the affect it would have on him would be great as he likes routine and would get upset if he would have to change schools. It would also but him back with his work.

The teachers do a fantastic job and I would hate for all the hard work they have done with him to go to waste. He really loves going to this school and it would break his heart if he had to change schools.
