Disappointment over Christmas market
IS it just me, or does anyone else feel the same? I had the embarrassing experience of inviting a couple of my friends from Belfast to come with me to Lisburn’s much advertised Christmas market.
We wandered round to Lisburn Square, oh my word, what a monumental disappointment. Many of the shops are vacant, quite a number of the market pitches were vacant and in those occupied a handful of dispirited vendors were standing about looking miserable. There were about half a dozen shoppers and the place had a depressing air about it.
I can only hope that next year things will improve, well they could not get any worse. What an unmitigated disaster.
