Disgusted by attitude towards horse and rider

I am writing in response to the letter entitled, ‘Horses Should Not Be Allowed on Roads’. I was disgusted to read that a driver would pass a horse and young rider at 50mph. This driver obviously had no thought for horse or rider. Does the driver not realise that no matter how quiet a horse is it is still an animal.

I am not surprised the woman with the rider and horse was waving to slow the driver down. I would have too.

Maybe this driver would care to read a copy of the Highway Code, section 214 and 215, and then maybe the driver would see, he or she is very much in the wrong. The driver obviously has no thought or curiosity for other road users.
