Dismay at more houses for Stranocum

Sometime ago, I was present at a public meeting in the village when a number of issues were raised in opposition to the plan including the lack of sewerage infrastructure, traffic, houses not selling well, etc.

Those feelings were recorded and all concerned felt that until these matters were properly addressed any applications for future developments should be put on hold.

I must say I am disappointed that this plan went through council and wonder how much opposition was voiced at council.

Are our public representatives merely paying us lip service and then ignoring our wishes?

I would ask voters in this area to make this point when the parties come calling looking for their support at the next election.

I personally want to know what our representatives think of the plan in view of what was said at the meeting.
