Dundalk divers had a great night in Stranocum

SIR, On Friday evening 5th March 18 members of Dundalk Sub Aqua Search and Recovery unit were invited to the North Antrim village of Stranocum as guests at The Bushvale Presbyterian Church Hall for the showing of ' Don't Tell The Wife' a 3 act play by the Lisnamurrican Young Farmers Club.

This invite was the result of a bond made last year between this small Stranocum community and the southern diving club during the tragic recovery of local boy, James Elliott's, body from the River Bush.

This was indeed a superb night, the amateur young farmers had the hall in stitches from start to finish; this excellently written play was Northern humour at its finest By the end of the night there was only one result - life long friendships made, mutual respect and genuine goodwill all round.

Our sincere thanks goes to Mr Jack Anderson, The Elliott Family and the villagers of Stranocum for the kindness and unbelievable generosity shown to our group that evening, it was a night that touched the hearts of all our group and will stay with us for quite some time.
