Grateful Glynn group
The Glynn Village Steering Community Group would like to extend a huge thanks to the following people who made the Glynn leg of the Olympic Torch run and the Diamond Jubilee “big lunch” such a tremendous success:
Thanks to Topping Meats for sausages and burgers, Dale Farm for drinks and ice cream, Antiville Community group for the loan of the marquee, DJ McKee for barbecue and charcoal, Jacqueline Hodge for soup tureens, Glynn Post Office for tea and sugar, Magheramorne church for kitchen equipment, the Arch Committee for flags and bunting, Mervyn Dickson for music, the Irish dancers, the Board of Governers of Glynn School for the use of the playground, Alderman Beggs, all councillors and officials and last, but not least, the many many volunteers who worked so hard and eagerly to give us all such a memorable day.
