Jacqueline Herald and her friends in the hospital domestic services team raised the money for the Buy a Brick campaign through various fundraising activities including a raffle.

“The Hospice is a charity very close to all our hearts and so it was an easy decision to help raise much needed funds for the new build at Somerton,” Jacqueline explained.

John Phillips, Community Fundraiser for NI Hospice added: “Thank you so much to Jacqueline and friends from Whiteabbey Hospital domestic services and everyone else who supported them and helped raise such a fantastic amount.

“Last year Hospice cared for 3,024 patients with terminal illnesses and their families. With our Somerton Hospice rebuild plans well under way, we rely on such generous donations and could not raise the remaining £2.6million needed for the rebuild without the support of the local people.”
