How about a statue for the B-Specials?

I READ with interest a letter from ‘Second Class Citizen and etc’ published a few weeks ago in this newspaper.

While I do not agree with his or her views, I was very interested in the reference to a ‘B-Specials’ statue.

It made me think, why are there no statues to those brave men? There is none I can think of. They did not even get a medal for the sterling service they gave over a long number of years, ensuring their neighbours and the countryside etc could sleep in peace at night.

So what about a statue to those brave and valiant men who served Ulster citizen’s so well since their formation?
