I will still be watching the Olympics
HOPEFULLY, I will be watching the Olympics on TV, but in relation to the comments from Councillor Jennifer Coulter I would ask who says we need more enthusiasm for sport in Lisburn?
Sport has always been at the forefront in Lisburn and the Ulster Star deserves credit for the support it has given to ensure the enthusiasm is maintained.
But there can be no comparison between an Olympic Torch passing through Lisburn for an hour and the enthusiasm given by dedicated sports people over generations.
In addition to Councillor Coulter remarks on increased opportunities to bid for sport the fact remains Lisburn was deprived of a National Stadium.
