Larne festivals fund pays out £15k
Larne Council has awarded over £15,000 to eight local groups who are hosting a range of festivals throughout the borough.
The community festivals grant scheme is jointly funded by the council and the Department of Culture,Arts and Leisure.
Events which received a funding boost as part of the scheme included the Broadisland Gathering (£2,700), Operation Lion (£2,000), Carnlough Charity Carnival (£2,700) and Cairncastle Ulster Scots Bluegrass, Country and Folk Festival (£2,700).
Each application is assessed by a panel of council officers and councillors.
