Bank lending is enabling Air Cool Engineering (NI) Ltd, which currently employs 25, to make a substantial investment in new ‘purpose built’ premises on the town’s Scroggy Road to support its ongoing growth.

The new facility will provide an enhanced trading base for the heating, cooling and ventilation services contractor as well as a call centre to service its UK and Ireland client-base, which includes major retailers and independent businesses from the hospitality, leisure and health sectors.

Planning approval was recently received for the 2,000 sq ft investment, with development work beginning this week and set to be completed by early summer 2013.

In addition to construction jobs supported by the development work, the investment has helped secure an additional seven permanent new posts at the innovative company – with further employment opportunities planned once the new purpose built premises are fully operational.

Ulster Bank business manager, Mark Johnston, says that the development is positive for Limavady: “We very pleased to support this investment, which will help sustain jobs in construction, and lead to employment opportunities at the business. Air Cool Engineering is an innovative company with strong corporate and SME clients across Northern Ireland, elsewhere on the island and elsewhere in the UK. We are confident that the investment will help the firm to continue to develop and grow.”

Martin Mullan, for air cool engineering (NI) Ltd says: “By focusing on providing a professional and innovative service and by continuing to develop and export our business skills outside of Northern Ireland, as well as locally, we have been able to grow in a difficult economic environment. As a business from an area hit hard by the recession, we have a social responsibility to develop skills locally and provide opportunities for the talent on our doorstep. We are delighted to continue to invest in Limavady and with Ulster Bank’s support, this has allowed the business to grow organically in these tough times.”
