Massey lecture confirmed

The inaugural William Ferguson Massey Foundation Lecture, which had been postponed because of bad weather, has been confirmed for later this month.

A spokesperson for the Massey Foundation said: “On behalf of the William F. Massey Foundation and the Ulster-Scots Agency I have the pleasure of inviting you to the inaugural William F. Massey Memorial Lecture which will be held on Saturday, April 13, from 7pm at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre. The lecture, this year, will be given by Lord Laird entitled ‘The Ulster Scots World View’, it will commence at 7.30pm with a wine reception afterwards.

“This lecture series is to promote the name of William Massey who was Prime Minister of New Zealand from 1912-25 and native son of Limavady. This event is being delivered in partnership with the Ulster Scots Agency and we are grateful to them for their support. I hope you will be able to join us.”
