More sculptures needed in Larne town, not less
If any visitor was to come into Larne and said that they were at the Crown roundabout, would there be any doubt about where they were? No!
When you see a sculpture you know where you are; they are excellent landmarks. A place like Larne with P&O ferries coming and going and with our gorgeous and famous Antrim Coast Road and many people making their way to all arts and parts, we need these landmarks.
There should be more such sculptures not less.
As for cost, these sculptures serve this very valuable purpose and they look interesting whether anyone likes them or not. They add a sense of quality, culture and progressiveness. A town or city with no sculptures looks bare and dull whereas one with sculptures looks modern and affluent. We want Larne to look modern and affluent, don’t we?
