Move the country fair to another site

THE country fair, which was held recently in Moira, is of no benefit to the people of the village and should be moved to the Maze next year.

Local residents were forced to leave their homes during the fair due to the noise of the pop concert and the constant firing of guns.

I think the demesne was given to the people of Moira by the estate of Lord Deramore and I feel it wasn’t given to hold pop concerts and all sorts of cheap entertainment to irritate the villagers.

It seems to me that all local councillors seem to be capable of is going to get photographs taken to promote themselves. What do we have this council for?

The fair is a nuisance as it blocks up the village parking so that locals can’t get to the shops and it does not benefit the local businesses.

The councillors should find another venue and I suggest speaking to the RUAS and moving it to the Maze next year. The people of Moira don’t want it.
