New Ballycarry Amphitheatre hosts annual open-air nativity

The 31st annual outdoor nativity once again provided the opportunity for Ballycarry to be turned into Bethlehem on Sunday, December 21.

Despite the howling winds and relentless rain, the crowds turned out to support the open-air event.

Ballycarry Community Association would like to thank all those who organised and took part in this year’s play, which was also very special, as it was acted out in the village’s new amphitheatre.

Community Association member Valerie Beattie said: “A special thanks to the commitment of Magheramorne Silver Band, whose musicians played through the wind and rain.

“Also thank you to Mrs Hester Little and Mina the donkey for braving the elements to help out with the play.”
