Newmills hosting summer school

NEWMILLS Presbyterian, Mossbank Road, is running its annual Summer School this year from Monday–Friday, August 13-17.

This caters for children starting P1 in September, up to those who have just finished P7.

This year’s theme is called ‘On your Marks’, and includes a fun-filled programme of craft and art work, music, drama, messy games and activities based around Bible stories.

Each session begins at 10am and finishes at 12.30pm, with registration beginning at 9.30am on the first morning.

The cost is £2 per day per child to cover materials with reduced costs for families with three or more children attending.

Rev Gordon Best, minister of Newmills said: “This event has proved extremely popular with children in the Bleary area for many years, and we hope to welcome new faces this year from all around the area.”
