The Halloween celebration is a joint venture between Newtownabbey Borough Council and Glengormley Community Group, with volunteers from the community organisation playing a major role in the preparations for the event and the clean-up afterwards.

Hailing this year’s event a great success, Community Group chairperson, Catherine Hardy said: “This was the third year of Ghouls & Fools and the biggest attendance so far. We are delighted to work in partnership with the council on this project.”

On Saturday, November 9 the group ran a workshop at Glengormley Pavilion allowing local children to show off their artistic abilities and create their own stepping stones, which will eventually form a path through the community garden in Lilian Bland Park.
