Praise for MP over double jobbing

By ruling himself out as a candidate in the forthcoming elections he has set the standard the public demands of all elected representatives.

What is needed now is a clear unambiguous statement by all the political parties to ensure that they are all committed to closing out this obscenity of doing two jobs when the very people they say they are representing are struggling to obtain, or hold onto, just one.

To this end perhaps the current batch of double jobbers in Lagan Valley - namely Basil McCrea UUP, Paul Givan DUP, Trevor Lunn Alliance, and Jonathan Craig DUP, should forfeit one or other of their elected jobs at local government or at the Assembly forthwith?
