Query on union invitation

Why did he not accept the invitation to attend the Irish congress of trade union Northern Ireland committee conference in the Maiden City which was held on Tuesday/Wednesday 27/28th April? His Deputy Minister attended.

As a shop steward of same persuasion as Mr. Peter Robinson I was disappointed he did not attend as his former incumbent Mr. Paisley had failed to take up invitation two years ago.

Not all shop stewards are left wing anti war activists. While no supporter of Mr Robinson's party it would have been nice for the unionist people at conference to hear some one from their side speak on what values he has and what he and his party intend to do about manufacturing crisis we are in due to the greed of the world’s bankers .
