Rates will rise above level of inflation

I SEE Lisburn Council are boasting the rates rise we are facing will, at 3.99%, be below the rate of inflation.

The latest figures this week show inflation was 3.6% in January and is continuing to fall.

This means that by the time we start paying our new rates in April, the rise will almost certainly be above inflation.

So much for ‘we’re all in this together’.
