I am aware that my Prize Day remarks to parents as reported last week in your newspaper have attracted a certain amount of interest. This is not entirely unexpected, given the important role that schools play in local communities.
I am grateful for the prominence given to my remarks but I am also anxious that people understand fully the arguments that I was attempting to make. For that reason I have posted the relevant section of my speech on the school website [www.cshs.org.uk] where it can be accessed by interested readers.
