Following discussion with local community representatives, the council is now pushing ahead with the redevelopment project.

On Monday night, members of the council’s Community Planning Committee agreed that a suitably qualified consultant be appointed to develop the initial concept ideas and provide costs for the scheme.
The proposal was made by Cllr Paul Hamill, seconded by Cllr Nigel Kells and agreed.
It’s understood the council has put a cap of £5,000 on the consultant’s fee.
