Sanctuary receives £18k donation for sensory garden

The Donkey Sanctuary Assisted Therapy Centre near Ballyrobert is set to get a new sensory garden.

The development has been made possible thanks to a donation of nearly £18,000 from the Asda Foundation.

The centre, in operation since 2011, specialises in helping children with additional needs and disabilities through donkey riding therapy sessions.

The sizeable donation from the charitable trust will be used to build a new sensory garden at the centre and to expand the facilities and services currently available to children and families.
