‘Speed up road work’
SIR, Carrickfergus commuters face at least nine weeks of misery travelling to and from Carrickfergus with the majority of traffic now using the shore whilst the Top Road is being dug up at Greenisland for water pipes with traffic light control together with the M2 lane restrictions due to new central barriers being formed.
Why can they not speed the work by getting the contractors to work all the daylight hours seven days a week instead of the normal Monday to Friday?
