Still waiting for answer from the council
I NOTICE that on April 1 new legislation came in to force in Northern Ireland to allow Councils to fine offending dog owners £80 on-the-spot - an increased fine.
But all the public of the Lisburn area want to know is how often Lisburn Council officials issued on-the-spot fines under the older existing legislation - or prosecuted offenders - in the last twelve months. Simple! But we’re still waiting for the answer.
