Students bring ‘Glam and Glitter’ to NWRC

The event is being held on Tuesday evening, February 19, at the Limavady Campus, Main Street, Limavady.

The level Three Hairdressing and Beauty students will take to the catwalk for an exclusive one night only performance showcasing modern styles and fashion fit for Milan, and will also feature live music and charity giveaways.

The event will have a competitive edge as the students will battle against one another for the top designs and styles on the night, with expert judges on hand to select the overall winners. Each student will produce three different pieces, one for each category, which will be modelled by their respective model.

The show is destined to be a sell-out, and a spokesperson for the College added that it is destined to raise the profile of the student experience at the Main Street Campus:

“The students have put so much effort into this show, they all deserve a great deal of credit for the effort they have put in over the last few months…there has been plenty of behind the scenes organising and rehearsing. We believe the quality of the work that will be on show will impress those who will be lucky to have a ticket, and is a fantastic opportunity for everyone at the College to showcase their skills and talents.”

Glam & Glitter has been developed on the back of last year’s successful show ‘Locks & Lashes’ and everyone at NWRC Limavady Hair & Beauty Course are gearing up for a wonderful night. The event is also planned to take place again in 2014 as it has become one of the most popular in NWRC’s busy calendar. Local stylists, beauticians or creative thinking people should consider enrolling on a course at NWRC to be part of the action and drama of next year’s show.
