Tesco boycott protest is ‘worthy of support’

There has been a chorus of opposition to the recent announcement by Tesco that they will sponsor a ‘gay pride’ rally organized by homosexual activists, whilst it has cut back on funding a Cancer Research charity.

Tesco announced it has ended its 10- year partnership with Cancer Research to join Smirnoff Vodka as the headline sponsors of ‘London Gay Pride’.

Research into the treatment and cures of cancers is said to affect, directly or indirectly, 1 in 3 people in the united Kingdom. By contrast, the homosexual proportion of the population is estimated at less than 1.5%.

Marketing Week reported: “Tesco has signed a deal to become a major sponsor of London Pride, the UK’s largest gay festival”. It added, “Its sponsorship of Gay Pride will be built on Tesco’s presence at the 2011 festival”. Tesco will no longer partner Cancer Research’s ‘Race for Life’ fund-raising event.

‘Gay Pride London’ is already the largest ‘gay pride’ event in Britain, and it is extending its carnival route and adding a second day to its festival for 2012. The London Gay Pride event will also host the global festival ‘World Pride 2012’, as the international homosexual activist movement continues to gather momentum.

For Tesco to sponsor a tiny homosexual minority is to show the utmost contempt for a large population of British society that still adheres to the morality and values of the Ten Commandments. The bible says in Leviticus 18 verse 22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination”. The suggestion by various organizations and periodicals that people should not boycott Tesco in protest is worthy of support.
