Thanks from cancer charity

IN November last year, the Larne Cancer Research UK committee held a social evening in the Larne Lawn Tennis and Bowling Club.

The amount raised was £400. Our thanks to Tommy Saunderson and the committee of LLTB Club for the use of the premises, La Bido, who provided the music on the evening and thanks also to the Halfway House Hotel, Owen Donnelly butchers, the Silver Lounge cafe and Plata who donated gifts for the prize draw and tombola.

Many thanks to everyone who supported us on the night, which everyone seemed to enjoy.

May I also thank again everyone who supported our annual sponsored walk, held in October? The total raised for this event was £2,500.

All money raised will assist the scientists, doctors and nurses dedicated to finding the best treatments and diagnostic tools for cancer, Research into this devastating disease is funded solely by charitable donations and every penny counts.

The committee is very grateful to the Larne community who have continued to support us throughout the years. Together we can beat cancer.
