Three local PS inspections in three years

OF the Limavady Borough’s 19 Primary Schools, just three have been subject to school inspections in the past three years.

Education Minister John O’Dowd had been asked to detail the outcome of every Primary School inspection in Northern Ireland in the past three years.

In the Limavady Borough there are currently 19 Primary Schools, three of which have been subject to an inspection in the past three years.

Faughanvale Primary School were subject to a school inspection on December 5, 2011 and were deemed to be very good in terms of ‘leadership and management’, very good in terms of ‘quality of provision’ and good in terms of ‘achievements and standards.’

St. Finlough’s Primary School, Sistrakeel were subject to a school inspection on February 21, 2011 and were also deemed to be very good in terms of both ‘leadership and management’ and ‘quality of provision.’ St. Finlough’s Primary School were also deemed to be good in terms of ‘achievements and standards.’

Ballykelly Primary School were inspected on October 11, 2011. They were deemed to be ‘satisfactory’ in all three measures. The Education Minister had been asked to detail “the results achieved by each primary school in achievements and standards; quality of provision; and leadership and management, following inspections in each of the last three years; and the time taken between the initial inspection and publication of the final report in each case,” by South Antrim MLA Danny Kinahan.
