‘Toasty Homes’ scheme

DUP Councillor and Deputy Mayor Alan Robinson has encouraged eligible residents to apply for a scheme which helps towards the costs of converting to natural gas.

He said: ”The Firmus energy ‘Toasty Homes Scheme’ offers up to £1,500 towards the costs of installing natural gas and up to £800 towards insulating your home. To qualify residents must own their home or live in privately rented accommodation, have an existing oil system over 15 years old or have Economy 7, solid fuel, LPG or no heating system. Your home must be within the Firmus energy gas network. The scheme is open to single residents with an income of up to £24000 gross or couple (with or without children) or a single parent family with income or pension of up to £35000.

“If you believe you may be eligible and are keen to have lower heating bills then I would encourage anyone to ring Firmus on 08456080088.”
