Traffic calming to improve road safety

Transport NI has confirmed that it plans to introduce traffic calming measures at Victoria Road in Ballyclare.

Details of the proposal were presented to members of the council’s Planning Committee on Monday night (October 6).

The DRD unit says it will use a series of round topped road humps to “reduce vehicle speeds and enhance road safety.”

Local DUP Cllr Jackie Mann welcomed the plan.
