UKIP man calls for urgent action to address social housing problems

UKIP’s South Antrim and North Belfast representative, Ken Boyle has called for more social housing to be made available for “local people and their families.”

Mr Boyle stressed that the Minister for Social Development must take action to address social housing problems in both areas “as a matter of urgency.”

Calling on the Minister to clarify his plans for the future of the NI Housing Executive, which could be replaced by a number of housing associations, Mr Boyle commented: “Will these new associations sort out the failed box-ticking points system, and instead implement a needs-first basis when it comes to local housing in the area?

“Simply put, more properties need to be made available for local people and their families in the deprived areas in this part of the world as a matter of urgency.”
