Was lights scheme value for money?
THE work which disrupted Wallace Avenue for so long has now been completed for several weeks and the re-surfacing is an excellent job.
But can anyone tell me the purpose of changing the traffic lights at the junction of the Belfast Road?
We were promised this would see the introduction of an ‘intelligent’ system, but often there are queues in Wallace Avenue while traffic on the main road has long since cleared.
I appreciate these things take some time to settle down, but at a time when money is tight I wonder if it was really a value for money project?
