She explained Whitehead promenade was chosen for the beautiful sea view and peaceful walks to help people relax together.

A further factor was the closeness of the railway station with a frequent train service to Belfast City Hospital making it an ideal location.

Lesley-Ann Niblock and Julie Sinclair from Tropic Skin Care gave a demonstration on skincare and make-up. They donated their commission on sales to the charity.

Supper was provided by WI committee members and ballot prizes by members and friends.

President Amy McLaughlin would like to thank all the members and friends for their generous donations.

After a very enjoyable evening, a total of £520 was presented to Hope House.
