Workshop on Aghagallon plan

CRAIGAVON Borough Council is inviting everyone from the local community of Aghagallon to attend public a workshop and contribute ideas on the regeneration of their village.

“The workshops are a great way for the local community to play a part in the development of their village. The regeneration is aimed at improving the villages for the community and their support is vital. No-one knows these villages better than those who live there and their knowledge will help ensure that the full potential of these areas are reached,” said Chair of Development Committee, Councillor Darryn Causby.

The Council is funding the development of a village plan for both these areas and have appointed MWA Partnership Ltd to assist with the project.

The workshop for Aghagallon Village Regeneration Plan will be held on Thursday, August 23, in St Patrick’s Primary School, Aghagallon at 7.30pm.

The plans will seek to identify a series of practical recommendations aimed at helping to improve the aspects of the village enjoyed by the community who live there and some of these actions may also be eligible for financial assistance under regeneration schemes.
