Orange Order instal officers

The combined installation of Officers of No 4 District took place in the Church of Ireland Diocesan Centre, London Street, on Wednesday night last.

There was a large attendance of Brethren at the meeting, which got underway at 7.30pm. The installation team members were Wor. Bro. George Hunter, the City Grand Lecture; Bro Gary Middleton, City Grand Assistant Secretary; Bro Ronnie McCausland, from St Johnston LOL 992, was well as the past Lieutenant Governor of the Apprentice Boys of Derry, Bro. Ernest McClintock, the Worshipful Master of St Johnston LOL 992.

The Following Brethren where Installed as District Officers: Bro. Kyle Thompson, Worshipful District Master; Bro. David Austin, Deputy District Master.

The in-coming Chaplain is Bro. Peter Ross, while Bro. James Thompson is the Secretary for the in-coming term, and Bro Haydon McMullin is the new Treasurer.

The Lectures for the new term are Right Worshipful Bro. Victor Wray, and Wor. Bro. James Thompson.

The Tyler is Noel Branter and the new Foreman of the Committee is Bro. Ken McGarrigle.

Following the installation of the new officers and committeesthe new District Master of No 4 District said, the out going Worshipful District Master, Bro William Allen, had done sterling work for the District over his five years in office.

As a mark of appreciation for his service, WDM Allen was presented with a Past Masters Certificate, which was presented to him by his successor Wor. Bro. Kyle Thompson.

On the night all private Lodges in No 4 district also had their officers installed.

The evening ended with a sumptuous supper, which was served by the members of Britannia LOL 1912.
